Web support from Suicide Awareness
SUICIDE continues to be a major problem in regional Australia and is an issue which Griffith's Suicide Awareness group have endeavoured to address with the launch of their new website offering information and support to people in need.
"The website was two years in the making with the aim to have a site that was different, giving hope to those in need and somewhere for people to access information in the privacy of their own homes on mental health issues," said Val Rowe president of Suicide Awareness.
The website was officially launched a the Gemini Hotel last Wednesday night with support shown from the group's sponsors as well as Member for Murrumbidgee, Adrian Piccoli and Councillor, Anne Napoli.
Suicide Awareness would like to thank the website's sponsors Sleep Doctor, Ultraprint, Flexible Solutions, Oliffee and McRae, the Gemini Hotel and web designer Hayley Crossingham, who donated her time to creating the website.
