THE hundreds
who flocked to Collier and Millers yearly car
park sale managed to snag more than a bargain.
They also helped
raise more than $1000 for the Bricks for Life
campaign from the barbecue sales and raffle which
ran over the two days of the sale.
Collier and Millers
purchasing manager Karen Woolnough handed over
the funds last week. "There is a definite
need in Griffith for something like this, everyone
you speak to has been affected in one way or another
by mental illness," she said.
The car park
sale is an annual event held in May, where engineering
and agricultural providers donate all proceeds
from their major sale days to a worthy cause.
Organiser Val
Rowe said she was delighted to receive the funds
and thanked the Griffith community.
"It is amazing
that the community continues to support us in
this way," she said.
